About The Company
Circuit of The Americas is a world-class motorsports and entertainment venue in Texas, located nine miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and less than 15 miles from downtown Austin. Circuit of The Americas is more than a track – it is designed to be the only purpose-built facility in the U.S. to host the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ through 2026. It will be the only FIA-certified Grade 1 track in the United States, and one of only 26 Grade 1-certified motorsports facilities in the world. The venue is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the world and be seen by approximately 30 million television viewers across the globe for the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ while also hosting dozens of high-profile motorsports (MotoGP and NASCAR), entertainment and business events each year. COTA will also serve as a leader in sustainability as it relates to major event venues and motorsports, through high-performance operations, design, research, education and partnerships. The FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ will attract as many as 400,000 people each Grand Prix weekend, with an estimated 80 percent of attendees coming from outside Texas.

Description

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class 

events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is 

unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP 

attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation 

producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance 

Amphitheater. Opening in 2026, COTA’s amusement park is a 20-acre theme park 

featuring two first of their kind Roller Coasters and over three dozen rides. 


Job Description:

The internship program at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) offers students and early-career professionals a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the live events 

and motorsports industry. Interns will work alongside experienced staff to support the 

planning and execution of high-profile events, gaining valuable insight into the behind-the-scenes operations that drive COTA’s world-class productions.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced 

environment. The ideal candidate will be able to balance strong relationship-building 

and networking skills with the precision and organization needed to contribute to 

seamless event execution.

Requirements

Requirements & Essential Functions:

  •  Minimum commitment of 2-3 days per week in office (15-25 hours/week) with a flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends and evenings
  •  Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills are a must
  •  Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  •  Positively represent COTA with all guests, clients, and stakeholders
  •  Provide on-site support during track rentals and events, assisting with logistics, fan engagement, hospitality functions, and COTA-Cares initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  •  Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or working towards an associate’s degree 
  •  1 year experience in a previous role or internships
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  •  Strong interpersonal skills; can effectively communicate and build relationships
  •  Ability to manage appropriate steps to get projects completed

Physical Demand & Work Environments:

  •  Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms
  •  Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds
  •  Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull
  •  Ability to stand/walk for long periods
  •  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision
  •  Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year
  •  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events
