Title: Program Coordinator Internship

- Position Summary
The Program Coordinator supports the Faculty/Program Lead in planning, monitoring, and coordinating all program activities, including events, program development initiatives, email communications, and promotional efforts. This position is crucial to the smooth execution of the program.
The Young Women in Leadership Development Program (WILD) is a 2-semester-long leadership development program from MBA and upper-level Business Administration students at Chaminade University of Honolulu. The program is designed to give promising female students opportunities to learn from women who are in positions of leadership in business, government, and the nonprofit world.
- Learning Outcomes
1. Develop effective project management and coordination skills by supporting the planning, scheduling, and execution of WILD program activities and events.
2. Develop professional communication and organizational skills through coordinating program logistics, stakeholder communication, and participant engagement
3. Develop an understanding of how marketing principles apply to program management, including promotion, communication, audience engagement, and event coordination within the WILD program.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create detailed program plans, including project tasks and timelines
- Actively monitor and coordinate the programs’ ongoing activities, such as scheduling monthly roundtable sessions and debriefs, communication with participants and speakers, and monitoring program progress
- Assists in the development of program communication materials for internal and external audiences
- Collaborate on program communication materials for internal and external audiences
- Maintain speakers and participants database
- Assists in the development and coordination of the culmination service project event

- Education and Experience
Minimum
Students should maintain a current GPA of at least 3.0
- Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Self-motivated individual who enjoys taking initiative and likes to work in a dynamic environment
- Some experience in project coordinator/management or similar preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
- Ability to prioritize work and resources
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality
- High integrity and ethical standards
- Physical Requirements
Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and require a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
- Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- This is a Part-time Non-Exempt Student Worker position. Depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and a varying schedule.

- Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University. Reports unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner
