About the team

As our Second Line of Defense, we safeguard the bank's mathematical integrity, ensuring that models—from credit scoring to AI—are robust, compliant, and ethical. We Stay Curious and Be Brave, constantly experimenting with new ways to govern complex algorithms and choosing the path that moves digital banking forward for our users across the region.

What you'll do

As a Model Risk Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in how a digital bank governs its most complex algorithms.

  • Assist in managing and completing the model lifecycle from end to end for both new and existing models.

  • Help validate risk models, including scorecards, IRB, ECL, and AML models.

  • Support risk assessments on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA) and GenAI models, including performing FEAT assessments in accordance with MAS guidelines.

  • Help implement the automation of model governance processes and data standardization across our regional teams.

  • Assist in preparing reports on model risk findings for senior management.

What you'll need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related quantitative field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with quantitative analysts and stakeholders.

  • A foundational understanding of model risk governance or regulatory requirements is a plus.
