Key Responsibilities
Assist with the specification, design, and documentation of future machine guidance and control systems for both aftermarket and OEM factory sales channels.
Collaborate with the Product Manager and Project Manager across the project lifecycle.
Apply practical electrical, software, and mechanical engineering skills to integrate sensors, GPS receivers, and operator displays into larger projects.
Support the coordination of technical requirements between international team members.
Utilise diagnostic skills to assist in fault-finding and ensuring integrated systems perform exactly as they were designed.
Essential Skills & Experience
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with a passion for solving complex technical problems.
Strong communication skills to coordinate requirements across multi-disciplinary and international teams.
Foundational understanding of how electrical and mechanical components interface within a larger system.
Must be legally authorised to work in New Zealand.
Bonus Points For
Familiarity with heavy construction machinery such as dozers, graders, or excavators.
Basic knowledge of API integration, cloud-based ecosystems, or software coordination.
Experience or interest in ruggedized hardware, brackets, and environmental weather-proofing for electronics.
A proactive mindset toward creating tools that improve the end-user experience.
