About the Role

Description

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world class supplier of power generation services, parts and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work.


This role will help support the EHS Manager in promoting a safety culture consistent with the values of the organization.  They will assist in ensuring that the facility meets all regulatory compliance requirements for safety and environmental.  Candidates for this role can be hired for a summer internship or as part of a Co-OP program.  


Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assists with the retention of training documentation
  • Assist with creating weekly all-shop safety meeting topics in addition to weekly department meeting topics
  • Conduct focused evaluations and facility inspections
  • Assists with event learnings, corrective action development and completion
  • Conduct environmental audits for compliance requirements
  • Conduct job hazard assesments
  • Work with employees and managers to develop safe solutions for identified hazards
  • Participate in projects focused on improving safety and efficiency


Requirements

  • Graduate or Undergraduate student majoring in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety, or Industrial Hygiene
  • 2+yrs relevant experience with a safety credential (OHST, CHST, GSP or similar qualification) or EHS related degree with relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Critical thinking skills
