EPIC Apprenticeship Program

The Sonoco Apprenticeship Program partnered with Calhoun Community College will give you hands-on career experience in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You’ll gain exposure to senior leadership as well as mentors who are passionate about their work and want to help develop you into a future leader of this great company. Our goal is to provide you with valuable work experience in a fun atmosphere where you can learn and grow. We have positions available in several areas of the business including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Operations, Quality Control, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Sales, Environmental Health & Safety, Purchasing and more!

What You’ll Be Doing:
· Gain exposure to various areas of our business through rotational assignments
· Participate in team meetings and contribute to projects
· Conduct presentations and lead discussions
· Network with leaders throughout the organization
· Learn about Sonoco's culture, history, products, and services
· Complete individual projects that support the business

We’re looking for someone who can do it all – detail oriented, hands on, excellent communicator, analytical thinker, self-motivated, eager to learn new skills, willing to ask questions, works well in teams and independently, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and has good time management skills. Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited university or college pursuing a degree in Process Technology
· Available to work part-time in between class days
· U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
· Computer proficiency required (Microsoft Office Suite)
· Able to use relevant computer programs to analyze data and create documents
