Expedition Expectations

 

As a Product Management Intern, you’ll get a front-row seat to how we design tools and experiences that make business travel smoother and more efficient. You’ll work alongside product managers and teams across the company to learn how we turn ideas into real features that help travelers and the people who support them. Whether it’s streamlining a booking process or improving how we support customers, you’ll be part of projects that make a real difference — and gain hands-on experience along the way.

 

 

Passport to Success  

 

Product Planning & Discovery

  • Assist in gathering and organizing requirements from stakeholders across the business
  • Help research industry trends, customer needs, and competitor tools to inform product ideas
  • Participate in product roadmap and sprint planning meetings to learn how priorities are set

Execution & Delivery

  • Contribute to product documentation, such as user stories, acceptance criteria, or feature specs
  • Support the product team in tracking progress in Jira and preparing status updates
  • Shadow product managers in meetings with engineering and analytics teams to see collaboration in action
  • Help test and validate product features before launch

Team Collaboration & Communication

  • Join team standups, sprint reviews, and demos to understand agile product development
  • Prepare visuals, slides, or simple dashboards to support communication with stakeholders
  • Learn how to translate business needs into clear, actionable product ideas

 

Going the Extra Mile

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, data science or a related field
  • Completed 1+ years of college course work
  • Interest in product management, technology and solving problems with data
  • Organized, detail-oriented and eager to learn
  • Familiarity with tools like Excel, Google sheets or any project management software is a plus
  • Some exposure to data concepts or technical tools (ie: SQL, Tableau, Python) is a bonus, but not required
  • Positive attitude and fit with the Direct Travel team culture
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
