About The Company
At MAC.BID we buy truckloads of closeouts merchandise and customer returns from major retailers. We receive "New"​ and "Used"​ items that are sold individually at aggressive discounts, in-store and online. In-store, prices begin at 50% of retail and are discounted each week. All items in our online auctions start at $1 with no reserve price.

FINANCE INTERN

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Finance Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the Finance and Accounting functions within a fast-paced, growing organization. This internship is designed for a college student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field who is interested in developing practical experience in financial operations, reporting, analysis, and business support. The intern will work closely with Finance and Accounting leadership on day-to-day activities, reporting, reconciliations, and special projects. Secondary exposure to Marketing and other operational functions may also be provided based on business needs and the intern’s interests. This position reports to department leadership as assigned.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assist with financial reporting, data analysis, and reconciliation activities

    Support Accounting and Finance teams with audits, tracking, and documentation

    Help maintain spreadsheets, reports, and financial records

    Assist with payroll-related reporting and administrative processes as needed

    Compile and organize operational and financial data for management review

    Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial projects

    Assist with process improvement and data accuracy initiatives

    Provide administrative and project support across business functions as needed

    Support marketing-related projects, reporting, or content organization as assigned

    Participate in team meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives

    Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and employee information

    Follow company policies, procedures, and assigned workflows


QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must be able to work a hybrid schedule in-office and from home

    Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field

    Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic office software

    Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

    Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
