About the Role

Job Title: Intern – Learning and Organizational Development (HR)

Duration: Part-Time and Internship, Non-Exempt


Job Overview: 

This is a six-month, substantive internship designed to give you real experience ‒ not busywork. You will contribute meaningfully to live initiatives, build skills that transfer, and receive consistent mentorship from senior L&OD leadership. You will leave with a portfolio of work you are proud of and a clear sense of what a career in organizational development looks like in practice.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Content & Course Development
    • Support the design and development of learning materials, facilitator guides, and participant workbooks for a variety of programs
    • Assist in updating and refreshing existing curriculum to reflect current priorities, including AI and digital literacy
  • Key Talent Program Support
    • Assist in the coordination and logistics of Key Talent Development Programs for Directors, Senior Directors, and others identified as high-potential talent
    • Support pre- and post-program communication, scheduling, and materials preparation
    • Help track participation, completion, and program feedback data
  • Research & Benchmarking
    • Research best practices, trends, and external benchmarks in learning, organizational development, and talent management
    • Summarize findings and present insights to support decision-making on new initiatives or program improvements
  • Event & Program Logistics
    • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, workshops, and development events ‒ including scheduling, communications, room/resource setup, and materials
    • Support the execution of All-Staff Experiences and Leadership Retreats
    • Procure necessary supplies and manage event-related vendor coordination as needed
  • Facilitation Support
    • Observe and co-facilitate select workshops and training sessions under the guidance of senior L&OD staff
    • Build foundational facilitation skills with opportunities for increasing independence over the course of the internship
    • Assist with LMS administration: inputting data, managing participant lists, and pulling reports


Basic Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate or recent graduate in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); comfort with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Collaborative mindset; comfortable working across teams and with leaders at multiple levels
  • Genuine curiosity about people, organizations, and how adults learn and grow
  • Must be at least 18 years of age


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework or hands-on experience in instructional design, facilitation, adult learning, or training and development
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or HR platforms
  • Experience coordinating events, projects, or programs in any context (academic, volunteer, or professional)
  • Exposure to or interest in organizational culture, change management, or talent strategy
  • Ability to analyze data, including quantitative sources such as survey respondents and qualitative sources such as interview respondents
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate findings and ideas clearly to diverse audiences
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment is a plus


The anticipated hourly wage range for interns who will work in Los Angeles is $23 per hour to $25 per hour. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate will be subject to several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of the candidate’s experience within the job; type and length of experience within the specific industry; educational background; and the location of internship. This hourly wage range may not reflect the pay scale for interns who work in other states.
