Position Summary:

The Accounts Payable Clerk Intern supports the daily operations of the Shared Services Accounts Payable department. This paid summer internship provides hands-on exposure to accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, data entry, account coding, and ERP system functionality. The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Shared Services AP Manager and gain practical knowledge of AP operations in a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist with invoice processing and data entry in the Accounts Payable system
• Review invoices for accuracy and proper documentation
• Learn invoice coding and account allocation procedures
• Utilize Excel functions to support AP reporting and reconciliation
• Maintain organized AP records and assist with invoice discrepancies
• Gain exposure to ERP systems and general Accounts Payable processes

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of introductory coursework in Accounting or Finance
• Familiarity with ERP systems or accounting software
• Prior internship or work experience in an office or financial setting
• Knowledge of basic accounts payable processes
