A Brief Overview
The Health Care Student Intern is an introductory position for students interested in exploring a career in Health Care. Under the direction and guidance of a manager or supervisor assigned in each department and in collaboration with the Director of Talent Acquisition and Stormont Vail Health Career Counselor, the intern will rotate through various areas of the hospital gaining hands on experience and knowledge of the Health Care System. Potential rotations could include: • Patient Care Services • Marketing • Security • Nutritional Services • Administrative Roles

  • Enrolled in a local school program Required


What you will do

  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient and visitor information.

  • Keeps work area clean and well organized.

  • Communicates pertinent information to appropriate staff in a timely manner.

  • Attends or completes any/all orientation and training assigned.

  • Formulates positive working relationships with all health care customers and team members.

  • Functions with an awareness and application of safety issues as identified within the organization.

  • Participate in staff/team meetings as requested.

  • Adhere to all Stormont Vail policies and the 5 Tenets.
