About the Role

Are you ready to take part in the global energy transition? We are looking for a detail-oriented energy market analyst to join our team for market research, modelling and simulating power markets. This is your opportunity to use and develop advanced tools and services to contribute to significant improvements in clean energy transition. Key Responsibilities

  • Research: Collate information related to power markets and convert it to actionable knowledge especially for modelling.

  • Build & Simulate Models: Create and improvise energy market models especially for SCED and power flow analytics. Analyze and generate market usable insights from the modelling

  • Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and energy experts, to design practical solutions.

  • Translate Insights: Convert complex insights into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy Systems, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research or a related field.

  • Programming skills in Python, R, Julia or similar languages is a must.

  • Exposure to PyPSA or similar tools for power systems modelling strongly preferred

  • Good understanding of optimization framework and exposure to tools such as Pyomo and solvers such as HiGHS, Gurobi etc is highly preferred

  • Understanding of Power Markets is a strong plus. Knowledge of US power markets is an added bonus but not necessary.

  • Machine learning skills are a plus but not necessary.
