Overview

The Student Nurse Apprenticeship Program (SNAP) is an early workforce recruitment initiative offered by Sentara RMH Medical Center for senior nursing students completing their last two semesters of an accredited nursing program.

SNAP provides aspiring nurses unique opportunities to work with a nurse mentor on a designated nursing department in addition to eight shadow experiences in departments of choice.

  • Current Nursing student within 2 semesters of graduation (Required)

Panel Interviews

March 31 – 3:00 – 4:30

April 2 – 3:00 – 4:30

April 9 – 3:00 – 4:30

Start Date: Monday, May 18

General Nursing Orientation: Tuesday, May 19

Clinical Skills Day 1: Wednesday, May 20

Clinical Skills Day 2: Thursday, May 21

Mentor and Shadow Experiences: May 24 – July 25

2 twelve -hour shifts with your mentor and 1 eight-hour shadow experience each week during your externship

Graduation Day: Wednesday, July 29
