Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Market & Industry Research
- Conduct research on industry sectors, market trends, and comparable transactions
- Analyse company performance, competitive positioning, and macroeconomic developments
- Support preparation of market insights and discussion materials
2. Credentials & Marketing Materials
- Assist in preparing and updating credentials decks, pitchbooks, and client presentations
3. Pitchbook Preparation
- Support the development of pitch materials for live and prospective transactions
- Assist in drafting key sections, including company overview, transaction rationale, and valuation summaries
- Coordinate inputs from team members to produce high-quality deliverables under tight timelines
4. Financial Analysis & Modelling Support
- Assist in building and updating preliminary financial models for live opportunities
- Support cash flow projections, scenario analysis, and key credit metrics
- Perform basic financial analysis to support transaction evaluation
5. Ad Hoc Deal Support
- Provide general support to deal teams on ongoing transactions
- Assist with data gathering, presentation formatting, and other execution-related tasks
Internship Learning Objectives
- Develop a strong understanding and appreciation of UOB Group Investment Banking and its products / services
- Integrate information and undertake analysis (including initial deal assessment and pitching, due diligence processes, credit evaluation and loan documentation)
- Gain practical exposure and develop an understanding of workflows in live investment banking deals
