About the Role

The Rentex Summer Internship Program gives students a hands-on, immersive experience across multiple departments, including Operations, Technical QC, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, and Management. Interns gain valuable exposure to AV equipment, business operations, and customer-facing workflows while contributing to real projects that support our nationwide organization.

Interns will participate in department rotations that may include:

Operations & Warehouse

  • Assist with order prep, inbound/outbound staging, and gear organization
  • Learn AV rental logistics and warehouse workflows
  • Support inventory management tasks
  • Technical QC
  • Learn how AV equipment is tested, inspected, and prepared for rental
  • Shadow QC techs across LED, projection, monitors, audio, power distribution, and more

Logistics

  • Observe trucking routes, dispatch planning, and load-out procedures
  • Explore optimization opportunities in scheduling and truck packing
  • Sales & Customer Experience
  • Shadow account managers and observe quoting, client calls, and order workflows
  • Learn CRM best practices using HubSpot
  • Assist with lead organization, buyer intent insights, and communication improvements

Marketing

  • Participate in content support, campaign research, and social engagement
  • Learn about website traffic, buyer intent, and audience targeting

Management Training

  • Shadow General Managers, department leads, HR, and operations leadership
  • Participate in strategy discussions and team meetings
  • Capstone Project
  • Choose a focus area (Sales, Ops, QC, Logistics, Marketing, etc.)
  • Present a 30-minute live presentation to leadership on Date TBD

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Preferred majors: Business, Communications, AV Technology, Marketing, Operations, or related fields
  • Strong interest in audiovisual, logistics, business operations, or event production
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work a full-time internship schedule (10–12 weeks)
