About the Role

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Business Development Summer Intern to join our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the acquisition process and offers the opportunity to work alongside experience professionals on strategic business initiatives. The intern will support ongoing projects involving financial analysis, company research due diligence, presentations, and integration planning. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in finance, business strategy, accounting, or corporate development to gain real world experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist with researching and analyzing potential acquisition opportunities

  • Support financial modeling, valuation analysis, and reporting activities

  • Help coordinate due diligence activities and organize project materials

  • Assist with reviewing transaction related documentation and preparing summaries

  • Create presentations and materials for leadership and internal meetings

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to support integration planning efforts

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and recommendations

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited educational program (including high school, college/university, graduate, or other qualifying academic programs). Students graduating in May of the internship year are also eligible to participate in the summer internship. 

  • Pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other related field

GENERAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: 

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Previous internship, leadership, campus involvement, or related experience is a plus, but not required.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

The posted hourly rate for this internship position is based on both your education and location.

Candidates possessing up to and including a high school diploma can receive either $15 or $16/hr depending on location. This rate also applies to candidates enrolled in a college program but have not yet started those studies.

Candidates currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent can receive either $18 or $20/hr depending on location. This rate also applies to candidates enrolled in an advanced, post-graduate degree program but have not yet started those studies.

Candidates possessing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and currently pursuing an advanced, post-graduate degree (i.e., MS, MBA, JD, etc.) can receive either $22 or $24/hr depending on location.
