About the Position

The Internship Program is designed for advanced-level university students seeking hands-on experience and skill development in their field of study, along with the opportunity to gain exposure to a leading company in the medical devices industry.

This internship provides the opportunity to support real-world Clinical Safety operations, contributing to documentation, coordination, and quality processes that help ensure patient safety in clinical studies. Interns will participate in a collaborative and dynamic environment, applying academic knowledge through meaningful and impactful activities.

Assigned Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to Clinical Safety operations.

  • Assist with document preparation, i.e., source redaction, dossier creation, and uploading to internal systems and repositories.

  • Support quality review activities related to clinical safety processes.

  • Document discussions and follow up on action items from safety review and event coding meetings.

  • Track and manage site queries and support timely follow-up.

  • Assist with Clinical Events Committee contract tracking and confirmation of service payments

  • Support routine study deliverables and provide backup assistance for assigned studies as needed.

Requirements

  • Active university enrollment in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program (mandatory).

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Nursing or a related Health Sciences field (academic degree, not technical programs).

  • Strong interest in clinical research, patient safety, or healthcare-related processes.

  • Advanced English proficiency (conversational level required) – interviews will be conducted in English.

  • Availability to complete 30–32 internship hours per week within administrative hours:

    • Monday to Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

    • Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

  • Ability to attend at least 3 days on-site per week at America Free Zone, Heredia.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Interest in participating in a regulated, documentation-driven environment.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
