About Cardiac Rhythm Management Services 

The CRM service implants over 800 devices and performs over 700 EP studies per year including PVI, cryo-ablation and 3D cardiac mapping. There are 2 dedicated EP labs at VHH, currently operating at 8 full days per fortnight with intentions for further expansion.  

 

State of the art techniques include non fluoroscopic 3-D mapping and ablation, pulse field ablation PVI, leadless devices and left atrial appendage occlusion devices. 

VHH also provides the full range of CRM non-invasive services to inpatients and outpatients including 12 Lead ECG , Holter and loop monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and exercise stress testing. 

Our Cardiac Inherited Diseases, Complex Atrial Fibrillation Assessment and Cardiac Rhythm Assessment Clinics at VHH, offer streamlined care through both cardiologist and nurse led clinics for outpatients. 

 

About the Role   

These busy training positions are designed to educate successful applicants in diagnostic and interventional EP and device therapy.  

We offer three CRM fellowship positions which extend over a two-year training period.  

Our program is geared to those looking towards an academic and research career in CRM cardiology.  

VHH has considerable involvement in national and international research, particularly interventional clinical trials. 

There is an expectation that each CRM Fellow will publish at least two peer reviewed manuscripts per year. 

 

About You:   

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:  

Outline skills / experience / attitude:

  • Passion for Cardiac Rhythm Management  

  • Completion of cardiology advanced training (or equivalent) 

  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary environment 

  

Mandatory requirements of the role:  

  • Primary medical degree (MBBS) or equivalent   

  • All candidates will require Australian working rights 

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)  

  • Employee Working with Children's Check  

  • Current Drivers Licence
