We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth team at Mercer. This intern role will be based in Hong Kong.
We will count on you to:
Assist in setting client’s portfolio strategies, including asset allocation, investment manager selection and risk analysis, leveraging Mercer’s proprietary analytics tools and third-party research resources.
Support client’s portfolio management and monitoring, such as fund performances and attribution analysis, and maintain in-house databases.
Assist in actuarial valuations and scheme designs for local and global pension plans, as well as experience analysis (e.g. assumed vs realized turnover) to facilitate assumption setting process.
Support probabilistic cash flow modelling using sophisticated actuarial modelling techniques for pension schemes on a project basis.
Assist in researching complex investment ideas, financial market events, global pension market trends and product offerings. Prepare ad-hoc marketing materials to support business development initiatives and proposals.
Provide timely updates on developments in capital markets and pension landscape to the team.
Participate in resolving simple client queries and support senior colleagues on project delivery.
Work with different offices and teams across the broader Mercer Wealth business.
What you need to have:
Undergraduate with solid academic track record, preferably in numerate degrees such as Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Engineering and Mathematics.
Strong analytical and technical skills. Comfortable with conducting complex comparative analysis with large datasets in an efficient manner.
Self-motivated, attention to details, organized and ability to multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg Terminal. VBA, Python, R or other programming language a plus.
Fluency in English and Cantonese. Mandarin would be a plus.
