About the Role

Test Development Intern

Location: Nexperia Seremban, Malaysia

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Test Development Intern to join our engineering team in Seremban. This internship offers hands-on exposure to semiconductor test development, automation, data analysis, and production support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Candidates with knowledge or interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data-driven engineering solutions are highly encouraged to apply.


What you will need to do:

  • Support test development engineers in developing, debugging, and maintaining semiconductor test programs.

  • Assist in tester setup, validation, and correlation activities for new and existing products.

  • Analyze test data, yield trends, and failure patterns to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in characterization, qualification, and production ramp-up activities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D.

  • Support automation and scripting tasks to improve engineering efficiency and test robustness.

  • Explore AI/ML applications for predictive analysis, anomaly detection, data visualization, or test optimization projects.


What you need to have:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in: Electrical & Electronics Engineering Computer Engineering Mechatronics Engineering Data Science Computer Science or related disciplines

  • Basic understanding of semiconductor testing concepts is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, or data analytics tools is a plus.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn.
