Salary: $16.80/hour

CEDA (Community and Economic Development Association) is a vibrant nonprofit on a mission to empower communities and fight poverty. We’re inviting motivated young people to join us as Summer Youth Interns through the Uplift Harvey initiative—a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, grow professionally, and contribute meaningfully to local communities across suburban Cook County.

What You'll Do:

  • Report to your assigned worksite on time and maintain a positive, professional attitude.

  • Carry out job duties assigned by your site supervisor with commitment and energy.

  • Accurately complete and submit weekly timesheets (up to 20 hours per week).

  • Participate in CEDA’s job skills and financial literacy training programs.

  • Engage in pre- and post-placement surveys and provide feedback to improve the program.

  • Stay in contact with the Uplift Harvey team to share experiences and seek guidance.

  • Complete an end-of-program evaluation to reflect on your growth.

  • Be proactive—ask questions, learn, and take initiative to make the most of your internship.
