POSITION SUMMARY:
Work under direction of the Vice President of Supply Chain to support daily logistics and supply chain operations to include shipment tracking, inventory coordination, and reporting activities. Assist the logistics team with improving transportation efficiency, warehouse processes, and delivery performance. Assist with maintaining accurate records and documentation related to inventory, shipping, and vendor communications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
INTERPRETATION:
- Assist with tracking inbound and outbound shipments
- Support inventory monitoring and reconciliation activities
- Maintain logistics records, spreadsheets, and shipment documentation
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors regarding delivery schedules
- Assist with warehouse organization and inventory audits
- Monitor shipment timelines and escalate delays when necessary
- Assist in preparing logistics and supply chain performance reports (KPI)
- Assist with order fulfilment and distribution activities
- Additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently pursuing or recent graduate with degree in logistics, supply chain or another related field
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics concepts
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Well organized with good time management skills
- Collaborative personality and the ability to work within a team
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to thrive within a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of programs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communication
- Able to read and write at a high school graduate level
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.)
- Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds
- Able to view/read computer screen for extended periods of time
- Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines
- Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development.
