All the brands in the Caliber family - The News Movement, The Recount, and Capsule - are shaped to reimagine how stories are created, shared and valued. We believe that modern audiences need to be met on their terms, in their tone and on their time and we do that by supporting storytellers with the tools, training and rigor to shape the world with integrity. With newsrooms in New York and London, we are supported by a global network of creators who are trained in the rigor and craft of journalism, vetted by senior editorial talent and supported by a leading production team - all working together to cut through with purpose, context and credibility. About Caliber

Caliber is a media company built to define a new era for journalism. All the brands in the Caliber family - The News Movement, The Recount, Caliber Collective and Capsule - are shaped to reimagine how stories are created, shared and valued. We believe that modern audiences need to be met on their terms, in their tone and on their time, and we do that by supporting storytellers with the tools, training and rigour to shape the world with integrity.

About the Role

If you want to understand social media from the side of those actually making it, read on. This is a role for a creative (and chronically online) person to work across Caliber's own channels and those of our clients - getting hands-on with the content that reaches broad audiences every day, and learning what it really takes to make it land.

You’d be based in our central London office and your days will be spent ideating and executing original posts - from short-form video to carousels - contributing sharp, platform-native writing, and keeping a close eye on what's happening across the social landscape. You'll also have the chance to get hands-on with video production and a little design work, and you'll contribute to sharing relevant social media insights with the wider team.

By the time you leave, you'll have built a real body of social work you can show future employers, alongside the stats to demonstrate your impact. This isn't a coffee-making internship. Your work will be seen.

What you'll be doing

  • Ideating and producing original content - video and static - across Caliber Collective and client channels
  • Monitoring social trends and surfacing relevant insights for the wider team
  • Writing copy that feels native to each platform
  • Contributing to some light video production and design work
  • Collaborating with editorial, strategy and production teams across both offices
  • Receiving, processing and acting on feedback quickly and independently

What we're looking for

You will be:

  • Deeply immersed in social media and internet culture - not just as a user, but as an observer
  • A creative thinker with a point of view on what makes content work
  • Visually aware, with an instinct for what stops the scroll and communicates clearly
  • A writer who can use words economically and effectively across formats
  • Editorially minded

Application Process:

Share a response to the following in whichever format you’d like (this could be a short video (max. 90 secs) formatted for social media, or an Instagram-style carousel (max. 5 slides) - we encourage you to be creative!

  • What you like on social:
Choose any post from a brand, news outlet or creator you think is doing social well right now. In no more than 150 words, tell us what it is, why it works, and what you'd steal from it.
  • Something you’ve noticed: Share one social media trend, format or platform shift that's caught your attention recently. What is it, why does it matter, and what would you do with it if you were on our team? Sharp and specific beats comprehensive.

Additionally, share your CV (optional).
