About the role:

As a GRO Data Analytics and Reporting you will gain hands‑on experience supporting governance, risk, and oversight for large‑scale nuclear new‑build projects. The intern will work closely with experienced professionals across project delivery, risk management, analytics, and digital transformation, contributing to data‑driven decision making and process improvement initiatives. The role focuses on analyzing and reporting risk and governance data, improving workflows, and supporting the digitization of risk management processes using modern Microsoft tools. This internship provides direct exposure to enterprise project governance, assurance activities, and executive‑level oversight in a highly regulated environment.

You will report to the Director, Governance, Risk & Opportunities and be located at Mannheim.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, validate, reconcile, and report governance, risk, and project performance data across multiple systems and tools.
  • Build and maintain intelligent dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI) to help project teams and senior leaders track risks, KPIs, mitigation actions, trends, and decision status.
  • Support to review existing risk and governance processes; document workflows; identify gaps or inefficiencies; and brainstorm improvements toward standardized, digital solutions with Project Teams, Risk Managers, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Help improve and maintain governance artifacts, templates, training materials, and SharePoint website aligned with procedures.
  • Participate in GRO initiatives, reviews, workshops, and continuous improvement efforts, helping simplify risk management and create value from opportunity identification through project closeout.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Operations, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Preferred intern or co-op for 6-12 months (minimum 2 months)
  • Fluent in English with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention‑to‑detail skills; comfortable working with data and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively in a cross‑functional team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and ability to quickly learn new tools and processes.
  • Process‑oriented thinker with the ability to understand, document, and improve workflows using structured problem‑solving.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools; basic knowledge of databases or coding, and interest or exposure to project or risk management is an advantage.
