Job Description:

Summary:

The summer research assistant will perform tasks such as preparing tissue, sediment, and water samples for stable isotope characterization of two Virginia cave and spring systems. Work involves drying, lipid extracting, and weighing samples plus data analysis. Work may also involve fieldwork to help collect samples.

Essential Functions:

  • Drying.

  • Lipid extraction.

  • Weighing samples

  • Data analysis.

  • Other duties assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-time.

  • 5 hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $18.40 per hour.
