About the Role

Position Overview:
KFDX, KJTL, Texoma’s Fox in Wichita Falls, TX is seeking motivated and enthusiastic college students for an internship in our News Department. We are committed to developing the next generation of media and digital journalists. As an intern you will gain valuable experience in a digital and broadcast newsroom. Interns will gain industry and organizational skills through daily job assignments over the summer.

What You’ll Experience:

  • How news media works across TV, digital, and streaming platforms.
  • Receive constructive feedback on progress throughout internship.
  • Develop content for both online and on-air.
  • The importance of collaboration between talent and production teams.
  • Professional communication and presentation skills in a media setting.

Qualifications:

  • Current college student.
  • Pursuing a degree in Communication, Business, Media, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
  • Able to receive academic credit for the internship.
  • Available 10-20 hours per week for the duration of the semester.

Additional Info:
This internship is unpaid and must be completed for college credit. Candidates should have reliable transportation.
