Job Summary:

The Summer Intern Parts Clerk will support the maintenance and operations teams by assisting with inventory control, organization of spare parts, receiving shipments, and maintaining accurate records within the maintenance storeroom.  This role provides hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing, maintenance operations, and inventory management within a fast-paced production environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with organizing and maintaining the parts room and inventory areas
  • Receive, label and stock incoming parts and materials
  • Help track inventory levels and report low stock items
  • Issue parts and supplies to maintenance technicians as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of shelves, bins and storage areas
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Enter parts information into CMMS or inventory systems
  • Support maintenance planners and supervisors with administrative tasks
  • Help identify obsolete, damaged or incorrect inventory items
  • Follow all plant safety, GMP, and food safety policies
  • Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school student, trade school student or college student pursuing a degree in:
  • Industrial Maintenance
  • Business Management
  • Supply Chain
  • Engineering
  • Manufacturing Technology

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word)

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Willingness to learn industrial equipment and maintenance processes

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
