Job Title: Human Resources Intern

Location: City of Industry, CA, Chino, CA or Fontana, CA

Hourly Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hr

About Your Program

You’ll be joining the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program, designed to give early-career talent hands-on exposure to real projects, real responsibilities, and real growth. Over 6 months, you’ll work alongside experienced teams, build fundamental skills, and gain insights into how a global business operates.

This internship provides hands-on experience in full-cycle HR operations within a high-volume logistics environment, supporting 200–250 employees across multiple California sites.

  • Hands on HR - Act as the primary HR support for 2–3 warehouses in one of our California sites, shadowing the HR lead as your mentor and support.

  • Assist in managing full-cycle HR processes, including recruitment administration, onboarding, and documentation for performance management and offboarding.

  • Review and reconcile employee timecards, ensuring accurate attendance tracking and related compliance matters.

  • Support the handling of employee relations issues and conflict resolution by documenting investigations in partnership with leadership.

  • Provide initial HR guidance to managers and employees on company policies, procedures, and basic compliance with federal and state regulations.

About You

  • Graduated or currently enrolled in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Chinese Mandarin speaking is a plus (but not essential)

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to learning and task completion.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to learn new systems such as HRIS, ERP, and payroll/timekeeping systems.
