About the Role

Summary: The Staff Accountant Intern is responsible for assisting in the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting and reporting of consolidated business results, and the integrity of the general ledger. 


Essential Job Functions:


  • Prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations, as assigned, to verify accuracy of account balances. 
  • Assist with variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations in financial results.
  • Assist with preparation of agency budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with abandoned property documentation.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Perform any other related duties as required by supervisor.

Education and Experience:

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
