About the Role
 
Position Details

We are looking for a passionate and motivated team player to join our one of our AME offices as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op for the upcoming semester. Creative thinking, a proactive attitude, and good communication and organizational skills are essential.

We specialize in sustainable and environmentally responsible design, with a diverse project portfolio across Canada, ranging from the design of small commercial and residential complexes to large recreation, hospital, and institutional facilities. Our offices are in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton, and we offer flexible work options.

In this position, you will be gaining hands-on, practical engineering experience specializing in plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection design.  You will be on a team and work directly with other engineers and designers, including attending project meetings, in-house training sessions and on-site field reviews.   

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Working directly with senior team members, you work on a variety of projects and tasks, including:
  • System design calculations
  • Equipment selections
  • Preparation of mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and/or REVIT
  • Collaborating and coordinating with other design professionals
  • Computer building simulation modeling

Qualifications and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or technical diploma in Building Design program 
  • AutoCAD and/or REVIT MEP experience preferred
