What you’ll do:

We are seeking a motivated Data Engineering Student to join our team! This role will focus on building and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting analytics initiatives across the organization:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for large-scale datasets.

  • Work with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Hadoop) to manage data storage and processing.

  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data availability and integrity.

  • Implement data validation and monitoring tools to maintain high-quality datasets.

  • Document workflows and contribute to best practices for data engineering.

What you bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline

  • Familiarity with SQL and one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala).

  • Understanding of data modelling and relational databases.

  • Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is an asset.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Broadband Salary Range: $23.00 - $37.00 CAD hourly

Our typical hiring range is between $23.00 and $30.00 hourly. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. We're committed to attracting top talent.  For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
