As a Trainee Data Platform Engineer, you will join the Data Platform & Engineering team and contribute to the development and operation of the enterprise Data Platform.
Under the guidance of senior engineers and Tech Leads, you will learn how to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and reliable data platform components, with a focus on Snowflake, SQL,
and Python.

This role is designed as a learning and growth position, offering hands-on exposure to modern data engineering and platform practices in a large, multi-domain enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Engineering Support & Delivery

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data platform components (databases,schemas, pipelines, shared services)
• Assist in building and maintaining data ingestion and transformation pipelines using SQL and Python
• Support platform activities related to data quality, performance, and cost efficiency
• Participate in troubleshooting and incident resolution with senior engineers
• Follow platform engineering standards, best practices, and security guidelines

Learning & Technical Development

• Learn how to work with Snowflake (data structures, queries, tasks, access control)
• Develop strong foundations in SQL and Python for data engineering and automation
• Gain exposure to the full data lifecycle ingestion → transformation → consumption
• Participate in code reviews, technical workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Progressively take ownership of small technical components or improvements

Collaboration & Ways of Working

• Work closely with Platform Engineers, Data Engineers, and Tech Leads
• Collaborate with other teams such as Data Governance, Architecture, and Analytics when required
• Communicate clearly on progress, issues, and learnings
• Embrace an agile, collaborative, and continuous-improvement mindset

Technical Stack (Learning Focus)

• Data Platform Snowflake
• Languages SQL, Python
• Data Engineering Concepts ELT pipelines, data modeling basics, orchestration
• Tooling Git, CI/CD basics, monitoring & documentation tools
• Cloud & Modern Data Platforms (exposure and fundamentals)

Profile & Background

• Currently completing or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inComputer Science,Data / Software Engineering,Applied Mathematics or a related technical field
• First experience (internship, academic project, personal project) withSQL and relational databases, Python or another programming language.
• Strong interest in data engineering, data platforms, or analytics engineering
• Motivation to learn and grow in an enterprise technology environment

Nice to Have / Plus
• Basic exposure toData platforms or cloud environments,Data modeling or analytics projects
• Interest in Data Science, AI, or advanced analytics
• Curiosity about AI-enabled or agentic systems applied to data platforms (e.g. automation, smart monitoring, augmented analytics)
• Familiarity with version control (Git) or DevOps concepts
