About the Role

JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for supervising the lab personnel and managing the operations technical support lab which performs testing and analysis of drilling and completion fluids and related functions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel performing chemical and physical analysis and tests required to support global operations. Includes product formulations, pilot testing, trouble-shooting analysis.
• Assign and schedule lab testing and projects.
• Responsible for training lab personnel in the performance of their job duties, safe work habits, and repair of all test lab equipment.
• Compiles, analyzes, and interprets results.
• Investigates complaints on existing products.
• Evaluates, documents, and reports on product performance in test environment.
• Handles special projects, as assigned.
• Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
• Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelors of Science Degree
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Test Lab.
• Knowledge of drilling fluids and/or completion fluids design, application and performance.
• Experience leading/managing laboratory teams and projects required.
• Knowledge of function and operation of specialized drilling fluids testing equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good analytical skills.
