What Makes This Role Great:

In this role, you will be an integral member of a forward-thinking software development team, directly influencing the quality of advanced Machine Control products used on civil construction machines such as excavators and dozers.  You will gain hands-on experience with advanced software / hardware integrated products - IMU, GNSS, and laser positioning technologies - while seeing your testing efforts result in real-world machine productivity.

  • Drive software excellence by actively participating in full development cycles for grade control and automation products. 

  • Investigation and reporting of quality issues to highlight critical areas for system improvement and product quality. 

  • Bridge the gap between technology and the field by translating customer workflows into actionable feedback for the development team. 

  • Support the future of quality assurance by assisting with the creation of automated test sequences.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • You are a proactive communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment. 

  • You possess a strong analytical mindset and a natural curiosity for solving complex technical problems. 

  • You have the physical ability to work around heavy construction equipment and utilise specialised survey instruments if required.

  • Must be legally authorised to work in New Zealand without the need for company sponsorship

  • Academic background or knowledge in Mechatronics, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Land Surveying. 

  • Familiarity with construction industry workflows or heavy machinery operation.
