Intern Job Description

Position Title: Intern
Location: Beverly, MA
Schedule: Part-time, onsite
Reports To: Administrative Manager / Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and professional intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience in an office environment. The ideal candidate is a high school senior or current college student with reliable transportation. This role provides exposure to administrative operations, industry training, and real-world business communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and route them appropriately.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, scanning, and distributing as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings as requested to gain insight into business operations.
  • Participate in Internship-related workshops and training.
  • Participate in carrier meetings as requested to observe industry relationships and processes.
  • Complete online industry training modules and maintain required learning progress.
  • Provide general office support to team members as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a high school senior or enrolled college student.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, both in person and on the phone.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills (not required)

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Comfort with learning new software or online systems.
