About the program

CNL’s Postgraduate Internship Program reflects Chevron’s commitment to corporate social responsibility by helping students gain practical industry experience. It offers Nigerian postgraduate students, opportunities to apply and strengthen their technical knowledge, build new skills, and contribute effectively in a professional work environment.

As an intern, you will work on a range of assignments related to your discipline and research area. You will also report to a supervisor who will assign daily tasks and support your growth and development throughout the program.

The program provides valuable industry and functional exposure through hands-on experience, mentorship, guidance from Chevron professionals, and other structured learning opportunities.

Eligibility

  • The program is open only to Nigerian students studying in-country or abroad.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a program leading to a master’s degree, doctorate, or postgraduate professional qualification.
  • Research or industry experience must be required to complete the program.

Requirements

  • Applicants must submit a recommendation letter from their institution with their internship application.
  • The internship has a minimum duration of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months for Master’s students and 24 months for doctoral students.
  • All applications must be submitted online through the application portal.
  • Applicants should include their research areas and/or areas of interest.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • All applicants will undergo a shortlisting process that may include aptitude tests and/or interviews. Final selection will be based strictly on candidate performance and space availability.
