About the Role

The Internal Communications Intern will support the Internal Communications team by conducting a data-driven analysis of the organization's communication channels. The intern will gather and analyze engagement data across email, intranet, and social media platforms, and present actionable recommendations to improve the reach and efficiency of internal communications.

The intern will develop and maintain a master data collection spreadsheet capturing engagement metrics (open rates, click rates, likes, shares, comments) across communication channels including Poppulo emails, Hub articles, and social media posts. They will analyze data to identify trends in employee engagement by time, topic, format, and sender, and evaluate the performance of visual versus text-based content. The intern will compile findings into a professional PowerPoint presentation that includes an executive summary, key findings, and strategic recommendations, and present their work to the Internal Communications team.

By the end of the internship, the candidate will have hands-on experience in data collection and analysis, the ability to organize and communicate insights clearly, and confidence in presenting findings to a professional audience.

Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and written communication skills are essential. Prior coursework or experience in data analysis or communications is a plus.
