LignoTech Florida (LTF) is a joint-venture between Borregaard and Rayonier Advanced Materials (RYAM), located in Fernandina Beach in Florida, USA. LignoTech Florida produces high performance lignin products based on renewable raw materials. The installation of this facility combined with the environmental benefits of its products will produce significant positive impacts on energy efficiency and Greenhouse Gas emissions.
About the Role

LignoTech’s Engineering Internship Program is designed to provide direct experience to students pursuing careers in chemical, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, industrial or related engineering field. This 12-week paid internship offers students the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, gain industry knowledge, and contribute to meaningful projects that impact our operations. Successful interns may receive full-time job offers upon graduation.

Program Objectives

· Provide practical, real-world experience in a mid-size chemical manufacturing environment.

· Develop technical and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects and mentorship.

· Foster a pipeline of future talent by offering high-performing full-time positions upon graduation.

· Introduce interns to LignoTech’s culture, values, and operational excellence.

Requirements

 

Ideal candidates should have:

· A strong academic record (GPA 3.0 or higher preferred)

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Must be able to analyze complex systems, troubleshoot issues and develop practical solutions.

· A proactive and team-oriented mindset

· The ability to adapt to a fast-paced, industrial environment

· Basic knowledge of engineering principles and safety regulations

· Strong work-ethic with grit and determination to overcome project obstacles
