About the Role

Description

Company: Unify Energy Solutions

Location: Houston, TX 77044 (In-Office)

Term: Summer 2026

About Unify Energy Solutions

Unify Energy Solutions is a fast-growing, dynamic company currently scaling our workforce to meet the demands of the industry. We operate in a fast-paced environment where we value excellence, integrity, and proactive problem-solving. We are looking for an ambitious, highly organized HR & Talent Intern to join our team this summer to help us streamline our operations and build our employer brand.

The Opportunity

This is not a "coffee-fetching" internship. You will be embedded directly into our HR and Recruiting team, taking ownership of critical projects that impact our 150+ employees. You will gain hands-on experience in compliance, talent acquisition, employer branding, and HR operations. If you want to see how a high-growth company manages its workforce, this is the place to be.

Strategic Initiatives (Your Core Focus)

You will be the lead on five high-impact projects designed to scale our operations and elevate our culture:

  1. Data Integrity & Compliance Optimization: Lead a comprehensive review of employee documentation to ensure 100% compliance with federal standards.
  2. HR Architecture & Systems Efficiency: Architect an efficient digital filing structure for the HR department, implementing a scalable naming convention that allows for seamless document retrieval and improves cross-functional efficiency.
  3. Onboarding Innovation: Research industry-leading onboarding trends to elevate our New Hire Orientation (NHO) program, creating a world-class first-day experience that sets our new talent up for long-term success.
  4. Talent Brand Strategy: Take charge of our Talent content initiative, producing authentic video and photo assets that bring our unique team culture to life and serve as the cornerstone of our recruitment marketing efforts.
  5. Employee Engagement & Culture Cultivation: Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution for our employee appreciation events and holiday gatherings, fostering the community and "family-first" culture that defines Unify Energy Solutions.

Supporting Responsibilities

As time permits, you may also assist with:

  • Talent Acquisition: Managing social media posting schedules, scheduling interviews, and updating job description templates.
  • Compliance & Data Integrity: Assisting with job file audits, synchronizing the Employee Directory, and optimizing Paylocity modules.
  • Employee Lifecycle & Training: Partnering with us to document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating 30/60/90-day review cycles.
  • Employee Engagement: Promoting our company surveys, analyzing exit interview data, managing new-hire swag kits, and supporting community engagement drives.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • High level of integrity and comfort handling sensitive, confidential data.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail (required for audit and compliance work).
  • Self-starter attitude with a teamwork mindset!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Canva or video editing tools is a plus!
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor.

Why Join Unify?

  • Real Responsibility: You will leave this internship with tangible projects on your resume that you can actually talk about in future interviews.
  • Mentorship: You will work directly with the Talent & HR Operations team, gaining insights into full-cycle recruiting and HR strategy.
  • Culture: We are a team that works hard, supports one another, and cares about our team-oriented atmosphere.
