About us: 

Mettle Works’ is a behavioral health program that takes concrete steps towards improving relationships with family, friends, community, and school/work. The supported Employment Program Provides individualized client centered services to assist person with behavioral health, alcohol, or other drug diagnosis to obtain and maintain competitive employment.

We are seeking a motivated and dependable intern to support our Marketing and Work-Based Learning programs. The intern will work directly with youth clients, including high school students, to assist with employment readiness, job placement support, and career development activities. This position also supports marketing efforts that promote youth engagement, community outreach, and program awareness.

The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and passionate about helping young people succeed in employment and career pathways.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Support

• Assist with creating and posting content for social media and community outreach
• Help promote youth employment and program activities
• Support recruitment and engagement efforts for youth programs
• Assist with flyers, announcements, and marketing materials

Work-Based Learning Support

• Assist high school youth clients with employment readiness skills
• Help youth complete resumes, applications, and interview preparation
• Support job search activities and employment follow-up
• Encourage youth participation in work-based learning opportunities
• Maintain professional communication with clients and staff

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in youth development, workforce development, or marketing
• Basic computer and social media skills
• Ability to work professionally with high school-aged youth
• Organized, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality
