SUMMARY
The Lone Mountain Ranch Hospitality Intern serves as a central point of connection between our Ranch departments, ensuring accurate booking and effective communication. Whether assisting with reservations, coordinating activities, or managing special requests, this role ensures smooth operation and elevated guest experience. This position will maintain accurate records within our PMS (Property Management System) and cross check guest bookings, communicating across departments as necessary.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the hospitality industry and looking to begin their career. They are calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience. A strong communicator and proactive team player, they contribute meaningfully to the overall guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and engage with guests in a polished, approachable manner, ensuring all needs are met with professionalism and care.
- Maintain and update guest profiles in the Property Management System (PMS) to personalize experiences.
- Manage and confirm reservations for dining, activities, and accommodations, tailoring each experience to the individual guest.
- Act as a brand ambassador,representingthe property with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Coordinate special requests including transportation, spa appointments, private guides, and celebrations with accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate clearly with restaurant, activities, front office, and other Ranch departments to ensure cohesive guest service.
- Address any guest concerns or last-minute requests with a calm, solution-focused approach.
- Approve itineraries and bookings, confirming accuracy across platforms and departments.
- Maintainaccuraterecords, input data efficiently and with attention to detail.
- Identifyopportunities to enhance guest experiences through added-value offerings, special touches, or thoughtful gestures.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with various departments to ensure a smooth flow of communication and service.
- Assistconcierge and outpost teams as directed by the Director of Hospitality.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a guest services role in a resort, ranch, or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong interest in the Hospitality industry
- Strong familiarity with the Big Sky area, including outdoor recreation, dining, and cultural offerings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a warm and professional tone.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with an exceptional attention to detail.
- Confident using guest service platforms and booking systems; tech-savvy and resourceful.
- A genuine desire to contribute to a positive and memorable guest experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- All team membersare required toattend the weekly planning meetings.
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on guest needs and Ranch operations.
- This role requires frequent interaction with guests and staff and may involve occasional lifting (up to 25lbs) for administrative and hospitality-related tasks.

Seasonal Bonus Program
All hourly seasonal employees are eligible to participate.
- $1 per regular hour worked
- $1.50 per overtime hour worked
- Applies to hours worked within defined seasonal dates
- Short-term contracted roles are eligible
Employees who resign or are terminated prior to season completion are not eligible. If the season ends early due to business levels, eligible employees will still participate.
Ranch Gratuity
- Collected on all guest stays and ranch bookings
- Added on to base hourly rate
