About The Company
Who are we? ASML is an innovation leader in the global semiconductor industry. We make machines that chipmakers use to mass produce microchips. Founded in 1984 in the Netherlands with just a handful of employees, we’ve now grown to over 40,000 employees, 143 nationalities and more than 60 locations around the world. What do we do? We provide chipmakers with hardware, software and services to mass produce patterns on silicon through lithography. Our lithography systems use ultraviolet light to create billions of tiny structures on silicon that together make up a microchip. We push our technology to new limits to enable our customers to create smaller, faster and more powerful chips. Who are our people? While you may think that only engineers and mathematicians work at ASML, you'll be surprised to find out that our people come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Across ASML, we have dedicated teams that manage customer support, communications and media, IT, software development and more. Every team in the company is essential for pushing our technology and the industry forward. If you love to tackle challenges and innovate in a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment with all the flexibility and freedom to unleash your full potential, ASML is the place to be. About the Role

Introduction

As a Supply Chain Cost & Workforce Planning Intern, you will join the Customer Supply Chain Management (CSCM) Central Cost team. You will help structure how headcount supports customer operations and will analyze differences across regions and translate insights into a clear model. This internship contributes to better planning, benchmarking, and cost efficiency across global sites.

Your Assignment

In this assignment, you will collaborate closely with central CSCM teams and regional stakeholders to thoroughly analyze the regional headcount structure. The main objective is to assess the current structure and identify activities at each site, with the aim of enhancing transparency. Using these insights, you will develop a regional headcount blueprint based on identified drivers, providing a foundation for comparing sites, improving cost efficiency, and supporting planning for new sites. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Map headcount structures and activities per region or country.

  • Identify key drivers, processes, and stakeholders linked to workforce planning.

  • Analyze inefficiencies and key differences in headcount structures across regions and countries.

  • Propose improvements to increase cost transparency and consistency.

  • Propose a blueprint for the regional headcount structure based on operational drivers and activities performed.

  • Develop a calculating model to estimate required headcount according to the proposed blueprint.

  • Document insights and deliver recommendations for implementation

This is a bachelor and master internship for minimum 5 months, minimum 4-5 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of August or September 2026.

Your Profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Are studying for a bachelor's or master’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

  • Have an interest in cost analysis, process mapping, and efficiency analysis.

  • Have strong analytical skills; experience with data analysis tools such as Excel or Power BI is a plus.

  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.

  • Show independence, and a proactive, 'can do' attitude.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter needs to include the willingness to relocate.
