About the Role

JOB SUMMARY

Provides administrative and analytical support to the Finance Department under the direction of the Controller. The Finance Intern will assist with a variety of finance-related projects, including SAP data validation for General Ledger, Inventory, and Fixed Assets.


This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. The Finance Intern will apply academic knowledge in a professional setting while gaining exposure to core accounting and finance functions. The role offers hands-on experience across multiple finance processes and projects based on business needs.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Assist with SAP data validation activities for General Ledger, Inventory, and Fixed Assets.
  2. Support ongoing finance and accounting projects as assigned.
  3. Perform data entry, reconciliation, and basic analysis to ensure accuracy of financial information.
  4. Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  5. Help maintain organized financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial data.
  7. Provide administrative support to the Finance Department, including filing, report preparation, and document management.
  8. Participate in department meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  9. Perform other finance-related duties and special projects as assigned.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  1. Bachelor’s degree candidate in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (required); Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint (preferred).
  3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and analysis.
  4. Ability to learn and navigate ERP systems such as SAP (preferred).
  5. Basic understanding of accounting principles (General Ledger, Inventory, Fixed Assets preferred).
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  9. Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain detailed records.
  10. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  11. High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  12. Willingness to learn and take on new projects as assigned.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT

  1. This position requires the individual to sit, talk, hear, and use hands for most of the workday (66%–100%), with occasional standing or walking (up to 33%).
  2. May occasionally lift up to 10 pounds (up to 33%–66% of the time).
  3. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, along with the ability to adjust focus.
  4. Work is performed in a standard office environment with no exposure to hazardous conditions.
  5. Noise level is moderate (typical office environment with computers and light foot traffic).
