About the Role

Description

We are seeking a motivated and energetic HR Intern to join our Human Resources team at Cates Control Systems for the summer. This internship is ideal for a college student interested in recruiting, talent acquisition, social media, and human resources. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the hiring process while helping promote our company and career opportunities through creative recruiting content. 


 

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with recruiting activities for open positions 
  • Review resumes and help screen candidates 
  • Schedule interviews and communicate with applicants 
  • Post job openings on job boards and social media platforms 
  • Help create and manage recruiting-focused social media content 
  • Assist in developing recruiting videos and employee spotlight content 
  • Support college recruiting and internship outreach efforts 
  • Participate in career fairs and recruiting events 
  • Help maintain applicant tracking systems and recruiting records 
  • Assist with onboarding activities for new hires 
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills 
  • Creative mindset with interest in social media and content creation 
  • Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok preferred 
  • Interest or experience in video editing, Canva, or content development is a plus 
  • Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented 
  • Comfortable interacting with candidates and employees 
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
