About the Role

About this opportunity:

GoEngineer is a provider of the most compelling design platforms in the industry, deploying engineering software and 3D Printing technology to make the design process innovative, efficient, and intelligent.

You will support day-to-day lab operations for our metal and polymer 3D printing team in Salt Lake City, helping keep production moving efficiently through printing, cleaning parts, shipping, and general lab support. This internship is designed for someone who is curious about additive manufacturing and wants hands-on exposure to the industrial workflow that supports both internal teams and customer-facing activities.

Your key contributions in this role will be:

  • Assist with file preparation, build preparation, printing, and post-processing of 3D printed parts.

  • Clean, finish, and organize printed parts to support lab throughput and machine utilization.

  • Help prepare parts for packing and shipment.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab environment.

  • Support internal teams with day-to-day printer-related activities and minor production tasks.

  • Assist with inventory management and lab supply organization to ensure materials and tools are available for operations.

  • Help keep equipment and workflows moving when key team members are traveling or focused on other priorities.

  • Participate in hands-on learning across the print process, from setup through completed part handling.

  • Assist with paid parts and other production-related work as directed by the team.

  • Work on-site during business hours and collaborate closely with team members providing training and guidance.

  • Contribute to lab setup and organization as the workspace continues to develop.

  • Communicate availability and progress clearly so work can be scheduled effectively.

  • Learn GoEngineer lab procedures and follow established processes for quality and safety.

We are looking for candidates with the below experience and skills, however, even if you do not meet all the listed requirements, very interested candidates should still apply:

  • Interest in 3D printing, robotics, engineering, or other technical fields.

  • Willingness to learn hands-on processes in a fast-paced lab setting.

  • Ability to work on-site in Salt Lake City.

  • Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule during business hours.

  • Interest in supporting both technical and operational tasks.

  • Comfort working with tools, equipment, and physical part handling.

  • Strong reliability and follow-through.

  • Ability to take direction from multiple team members and learn from feedback.

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

  • Current enrollment in, or recent coursework related to, engineering, manufacturing, technical studies, or a similar field is helpful.

  • Equivalent hands-on experience or demonstrated personal interest in 3D printing is also welcome.
