Hood Packaging is currently recruiting a Packaging Internship for our Arden Hills, MN plant.  The Marketing Intern supports the marketing and sales teams by assisting with customer engagement, market research, CRM management, and digital marketing initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in business development, customer interaction, and product marketing.

Functional Responsibilities

•    Maintain and update customer and prospect information within Salesforce and other CRM systems to ensure accurate and organized records.

•    Assist in preparing product presentations, sales materials, and customer proposals to support business development efforts.

•    Respond to customer inquiries by coordinating samples, trials, and related requests while ensuring timely and professional communication.

•    Support follow-up activities with customers regarding orders, samples, and deliveries, gaining exposure to customer relationship management practices.

•    Conduct lead generation activities by identifying potential clients, target industries, and emerging market opportunities.

•    Perform market research on industry trends, packaging innovations, competitor activities, and pricing to support strategic decision-making.

•    Assist with digital marketing initiatives, including social media content creation, updates, and campaign support.

•    Shadow sales representatives during customer calls and site visits to develop an understanding of the sales cycle and customer engagement strategies.

•    Learn about packaging materials, product applications, and operational processes to effectively support sales and marketing efforts.

•    Coordinate and track product samples, ensuring proper documentation and timely distribution.

Qualifications

•    Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field

•    Previous internship or coursework in marketing, sales, or business is considered an asset

Skills

•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

•    Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

•    Basic analytical and research skills

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is an asset

•    Interest in sales, marketing, and customer engagement
