The QC Process Improvement Student supports the Quality Control department by driving process improvements, optimizing inspection and testing methods, and managing change processes within QC. The role involves hands-on analysis of QC activities, development of documentation, and collaboration with Engineering, QA, and Production to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) under QC responsibility
  • Develop, optimize, and continuously improve inspection and testing processes, including implementation of appropriate inspection and testing equipment
  • Write and maintain QC work instructions and technical documentation
  • Lead the transition of QC work instructions from manual formats to the NextPlus system
  • Analyze and improve QC testing methodologies, including sample size optimization
  • Perform daily observations on the QC floor to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies

Requirements

  • 3rd/4th year engineering students (B.Sc. in Mechanical / Biomedical / Biotechnology engineering – preferred)
  • Availability for 3 workdays per week
  • Experience in the medical device industry – Advantage
  • High proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Good ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and technical aptitude
  • Hands-on, self-motivated, and independent with strong problem-solving abilities
