 JOB DESCRIPTION

Intership in IT - Cybersecurity

JOB DESCRIPTION

Gain comprehensive knowledge of how the IT Department—particularly the Information Security (Cybersecurity) team—of a leading law firm functions, where innovation and commitment to new technologies are priorities.

DUTIES

  • Assist with the designing and assessment of technology solutions and policies, with a special focus on security
  • Contribute to the assessment and improvement of governance, risk and compliance (“GRC”) management processes, ensuring compliance with the applicable standards and regulations
  • Assist with information leakage protection by using data loss prevention (“DLP”) solutions to preserve information confidentiality and integrity. This task includes analyzing logs and alerts generated by DLP solutions, identifying network activities that are suspicious or not compliant with the firm’s security policies, and implementing the necessary corrective measures
  • Participate in third-party risk assessment and in the designing and improvement of the assessment measures
  • Assist with the configuration and launch of vulnerability scans of devices connected to the network to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities. Prepare the subsequent vulnerability analysis reports with the results
  • Assist with the designing and implementation of information security awareness and training programs to ensure user awareness and good practices
  • Participate in developing an effective cybersecurity strategy. This task includes collecting various metrics—security performance, compliance, detection and response, vulnerabilities, training and awareness—that provide the necessary information to better protect the firm’s assets
  • Cybersecurity solutions management: monitor the network and endpoints to detect any suspicious activity or security policy violations
  • Management of alerts previously assessed by a security operations center (“SOC”): This could involve investigating the alert to determine its veracity, the potential impact on the firm and the best way to mitigate an identified threat
  • Collaborate with other IT and security teams to ensure comprehensive protection against data loss, secure procedures and promote good practices. This could involve coordinating with various teams, including network security, development, and systems architecture
