We are seeking a talented individual to join our Actuarial Valuations team at Mercer. This role will be based in Mercer. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You will be working as part of a team supporting more experienced analysts and project managers in all aspects of the Pension Plans & Retirement area.

We will count on you to:

  • Request, gather, review and upload client data, and assist in the preparation of actuarial valuations, participant statements and/or client listings and perform required financial analyses using proprietary and vended software;
  • Reconcile data and assets from previous valuations and prepare summaries of data, assets, and benefits  defined in the plan documentation;
  • Escalates data or plan questions related to valuations and benefit calculations to more senior analysts;
  • Helps prepare government forms and our regulatory documentation;
  • Perform Actuarial calculations;
  • Collaboration with client team and project team;
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time and to the high standards required.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelors or Master’s in Actuarial, Mathematics, Economics, Management, Biology, Finance, Engineering or similar.
  • Fluent English level (B2/C1).
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Strong problem solving skills & ability to clearly articulate complex issues.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills in order to prioritize and effectively manage a wide variety of ongoing tasks, in order to meet the multiple deadlines.
  • Proactive and goal oriented.
  • Good team player.
