About the Role

Customer Service Assistant, Continuing Education, SC1IDCUSTCE (SU26)
Student Worker Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
Primary responsibilities will include assisting with general office tasks, managing income inquiries via phone, web and walk-in, coordinating events, and providing administrative support to various teams within the organization.

  • Respond to student inquiries and provide information about our programs, resources, and services.
  • Assist in student service, including orientation sessions, and introducing new members to the community.
  • Work closely with the operations team to register students and maintain accurate student records and databases.
  • Gather feedback from students to identify areas for improvement and enhancement of our services.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create informative materials for students and the public.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
      • High school diploma or equivalent.
      • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
      • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
      • If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.

    • Experience
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
      • Strong interpersonal skills and empathy in dealing with a diverse range of individuals.
      • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle member inquiries effectively.
      • Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus.
      • Interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.
      • Enthusiastic and positive attitude toward assisting others.
    • Licenses and Certifications
      • COD Training

        Working Conditions:

      • Computer, fax, phone, copier, and scanner.
      • Some lifting.
      • Hours may vary according to need.
      • This student position requires a background test.
      • Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
